Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,021,909,865 for the month of October 2019. This amounts to a 3.85% decrease compared to October 2018, when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,062,880,161. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2019 through October 31, 2019), gaming win has increased 2.47%.

In Southern Nevada, The Strip was a loss leader with a 9.25% contraction from October 2018. Slot revenue was up slightly, but all table games saw about a 20% fall in revenue. While North Las Vegas and Laughlin also posted declines, other regions saw growth, with Downtown and Mesquite seeing gains of more than 7%.

Up north, North Lake Tahoe saw a 17.1% decline in gaming win, while the south shore saw a 14% increase. The rest Washoe County and Carson Valley saw growth as well.

Despite the decreased win, the State collected $62,333,010 in percentage fees during the month of November 2019, based upon the taxable revenues generated in October 2019. This represents a 9.41% (or $5,361,618) increase compared to the prior year’s November, when percentage fee collections were $56,971,392.
