The state’s taxable sales numbers in August continued a three-year trend of increases, according to data released by the Nevada Department of Taxation. Businesses across the state sold $4.09 billion in tangible goods in August, up 7.5% compared with August 2013’s $3.8 billion. Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $901,697,989 for the month of September 2014, according to a release from the Gaming Control Board. This amounts to a 5.96% decrease compared to September 2013, when licensees reported a gaming win of $958,894,854.
